What to Expect

Your wedding day is a story told in chapters, and my role is to capture it naturally, beautifully, and without unnecessary stress. To help you understand the flow of my coverage, here’s how I typically approach your day:

Bridal Preparation & Details

I begin with bridal prep, capturing the excitement of the morning. This includes detail shots such as your dress, shoes, flowers, jewellery, and other personal touches (flat lays), as well as candid images of the preparations. Once you’re ready, I’ll take a short time for bridal portraits and group shots with your bridal party.

Groom Preparation is photographed only when a second photographer is engaged or when the groom is located at the same venue as the bride, allowing me to move seamlessly between the two.

Ceremony Arrival & Ceremony

I capture guests arriving at the ceremony venue, followed by key ceremony moments: the aisle entrance, ring exchange, first kiss, signing of the register, and your aisle walk as a married couple.

Confetti Shots

Straight after the ceremony comes one of the most joyful moments of the day — your confetti walk. This always makes for fun, natural photographs full of colour and energy. For extra impact, I may suggest a mid-confetti kiss or even a playful Hollywood dip as you walk through your guests — adding a cinematic touch to your confetti memories.

Group Photographs

I usually begin with a full guest group photo, followed by a complete family group shot. This structure helps manage the flow of guests, releasing them in smaller waves towards cocktail hour so the bar and waiting staff are not overwhelmed all at once. Smaller family group shots are taken either at this point or later in the day, depending on location, timing, and weather conditions. For example, in summer, large group photos are often best taken later in the day when the light is softer than in the midday sun.

Couple Portraits

Your couple portraits are some of the most important images of the day. These are timed carefully depending on the season:

• Autumn, Winter, Spring: portraits are usually best taken before the reception to make use of natural daylight.
• Summer: portraits are often scheduled after the meal when the evening light is more flattering.

Reception & Speeches

You’ll be announced into your reception, and I’ll capture this moment as well as your speeches. Speeches may take place either before or after the meal, and I’ll adjust accordingly. During the meal, I take my break (with a meal provided by you) so I’m ready to return in time for the next important moments.

Evening Coverage

After the meal, I capture candid shots of your guests mingling, before moving on to the cake cutting and your first dance. I remain for around 15 minutes after the first dance to capture the atmosphere of your evening reception before concluding coverage.
